Shipping and delivery companies

Amazon is hiring 100,000 workers for fulfilment and delivery.

Considering the delivery personnel plays an important role right now, they have promised an increased pay per hour.

In the U.S., we will be adding an additional $2 USD per hour worked through April from our current rate of $15/hour or more, depending on the region, C$2 in Canada, £2 per hour in the UK, and approximately €2 per hour in many EU countries. This commitment to increased pay through the end of April represents an investment of over $350 million in increased compensation for hourly employees across the U.S., Europe, and Canada.

Local grocery stores, restaurants offering take-outs and pharmacies

Again, delivery of groceries is crucial today to enforce social distancing.

If you have a Kroger, Meijer, and Safeway  nearby, you can just walk up to them and offer to help. Most likely, they need a delivery personnel.

If you are situated elsewhere, you can call and ask nearby grocery stores if they need a delivery personnel. Chances are they do!

Logistics company

While no one is allowed on the roads and cities are on a lockdown, logistics companies are looking for more and more drivers to meet the demands.

They need people right now to move things to distribution centers and stores.

Information technology companies

Right now, everyone is working at home.

That means, companies the provide telecommunication services, broadband, work-at-home solutions of any kind are in demand.

They are most likely looking for chat agents, email helpdesk, marketers etc. Look into such companies!

A few to name – AT&T, Slack, Zoom, Skype, Loom, etc.

Online learning companies

Schools are shut down. Children are at home.

It is the time every parent is looking at online schools. As of today, online tutors are in high demand.

If you can teach, it is a good time to apply to one of the online schools like VIPkid, Chegg etc

There is absolutely no shame in a paying job of any kid, especially during tough times like a pandemic.
