WHAT IS SCOPING?

Before we review Internet Scoping School, let’s just brush over basics. What is scoping?

If I had to sum it up in one sentence, Scoping is doing the editing for court reporters.

Let’s go bit into details –

We all know that court reporters use steno writers to record or write down court proceedings.

Considering the process of typing out the proceedings is really fast (at 180 words per minute), errors are bound to happen. The final document has to be perfect and without any error.

Once the proceedings are over, they import the notes into a transcription software which translates the notes into English.

It is after this process, the court reporters hire a scopist. The basic job of a scopist is to help them with editing.

Scopists listen to audio recordings of the proceedings and check them against the written transcripts of court and deposition transcripts to correct errors.

These errors could be anything – Misunderstood words, mistranslated words, even complete gaps to punctuations and grammar.

Court reporters are paid for each page they process and when they hire a scopist, the process picks up speed and they are able to earn more money.

Basically, scopists help court reporters make more money and hence, they are important.

HOW MUCH DO SCOPISTS MAKE?

Scopists, especially the ones who are really good, can make a full time living with it.

While most scopists earn between $1 – 1.25 per page, you will start out lower.

As a brand new Scopist you have the possibility to make $30,000 per year.

With more experience, you can make as much as $50,000 to $60,000 per year!

DO I NEED TRAINING TO BECOME A SCOPIST?

If you want to become a scopist, you have to learn the tricks before starting out. It is not a job you can learn while on the job.

While you can decide to pay the entire price at the beginning, you can also decide to make equal monthly payments and pay them in increments over a period of three months, five months, eight months, or twelve months.

With these options, the full payment will run between $2500 and $3000.

You can also decide to go with pay-as-you-go method. The pricing for that option is as follows:

Okay.. so our final verdict is out.

Scoping is still not a well known work at home job which makes it lucrative option.

If you are someone with strong English language skills, scoping may be for you.

and, if it is, there is no better course than Internet Scoping School.

Do not let the price of the course deter you. If you go for college education, it will cost you at least 5 times more and just for the tuition fee.

and, they graduate to make the same amount of income as you do as a scopist.

With the potential to make $30,000 to $60,000 or more per year, Internet Scoping School is definitely a great investment.
