“I was going to say Acadia. It’s very underrated for some reason. My mom’s friend, by coincidence, ended up being my English professor in college, and we went on a trip to see family in ME. We stopped at Acadia for a day, and she said it reminded her a lot of her visit to Greece.” another said.

Explore the beauty of Navajo Reservation’s remote stretch, where modern connectivity fades away, and the natural world takes center stage.

“There is a stretch of the Navajo reservation where there is no cell service, AM or FM radio reception. The road stretches before you for miles, surrounded by red rocks touching the blue sky. The buzzing undercurrent of modern connectivity fades away, and your brain can be truly still.” shared one.

“When I was in my 20’s, my boyfriend and I took a six-month trip across the Navajo Nation in my Z-28. Slept under trees, on campgrounds, and in the car. Saw The Grand Canyon, Canyon de Shelly. It was wonderful. At 50, I can still say one of the best things in my life.” another shared.

5. California Redwoods

“I’m incredibly biased, but the most beautiful place is the California redwoods. Drive up 101, and then detour towards Petrolia. There is absolutely nothing like it. Roll down your windows and drive 35mph. Smell the old growth. Stop at the pull-out. Take a small hike. It’s worth it.” said one.

“Yes, 100%. My brother lives in McKinleyville, and I will see him at the end of April. I can’t wait. It’s my happy place. They are like the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls…you have to see them to believe them. Those redwoods are something else!” another added.

The Pacific Northwest region of the United States is a nature lover’s paradise, known for its lush forests, rugged coastline, towering mountains, and abundant wildlife.

“The coast of Oregon is gorgeous from end to end, and Oregon does a great job with state parks, so there are plenty of areas to stop and enjoy. There are too many beautiful locations to list, but among my favorites are Yachats, Bandon, and Winchester Bay, where there are miles of giant sand dunes.” a user shared.

“I’ll even take the PNW in winter. I grew up in Canada and the midwest US. We drove to the Seattle area one Christmas to spend Christmas with relatives. I remember coming over the pass and suddenly seeing green everywhere. Oh, and the smell of rain and wet pine and fir. And being warm in winter. It was an amazing eye-opener for me. I no longer live in North America, but when I make it back for a visit, we always spend time in the PNW, winter or summer.” another said.
